Catalog and Data Selector User Guide

Step-by-step guide and video tutorial for using the Data Selector before the Editor.

Introduction

The Catalog and Data Selector work together as the entry point to the TronDesigner Editor.

The Catalog provides an overview of all available products from connected suppliers, allowing users to quickly find the right product to customize.

The Data Selector allows you to prepare product data before opening the TronDesigner Editor. Here, you select product variants, quantities, print options, and mockups that will be used for creating a print design.

This guide is intended primarily for distributors’ internal team members who need to prepare product data before creating a print job in the Editor.

Catalog

The Catalog can be found in the left sidebar of the Admin Portal.

In the Catalog, users can:

  • Filter products using the left panel (supplier, category, color, brand, material, etc.)

  • Search and sort products to narrow down the selection

  • Check mockup availability at a glance using the printer icon on each product tile:

    • Green: full mockup availability.

    • Orange: partial availability.

    • Gray: no mockups available.

Data Selector

Once a product is selected, the Data Selector opens. Use this step to define how the selected product will be used in the Editor:

  • Choose which product variants to include (and optionally specify quantities)

  • Select available print positions and technologies

  • Select mockups for visualizing designs (either one sketch for all colors or specific sketches for each color variant)

  • To proceed, click “Start design.” The TronDesigner Editor will then open with all product data prepared.

If there is no predefined size data for a product, the size must be defined manually. In this case, the Editor will open with the ruler setup.
The system will attempt to prefill the real product size, and dimensions will be displayed in the dialog. You can use either a horizontal or vertical ruler as a reference. Please check that these measurements roughly match the actual product dimensions before proceeding.
